When Adventures in the Lost Lands meets WH40k

What to do when you want to play Adventures in the Lost Lands (AitLL) without Pulp miniatures? I worked out an adventure for my GW Imperial Guards.

Look at that! It's a fuc... dinosaur!
The air assault on Calistra went bad. A traitor fleet was in ambush behind the moon. Our assault shuttle was hit and crash-landed 800 klicks from our landing zone, in the middle of a very hostile jungle. Rather than wait for a rescue mission we were tasked to find the passenger (Col. Frazer) of an escape pod from the battle cruiser Bright Star...

I played a RESCUE scenario (Adventures in the Lost Lands p. 52) with a slightly modified PEF Resolution-Lost World Expedition table (AitLL, p. 45):
- A, B, C, D work the same;
- E, F: it's the target!
- G: it's the target and their escape pod!

The rescue patrol led by Lt Brenner:
On the front, left to right: Private Doan, Sgt Cole, Lt Brenner

INTO HE WILD...

Eventually we managed to find Col. Frazer without finding a dinosaur (for the moment).

Col. Frazer
But we have to cross the jungle to a safe landing zone to be evacuated...

To be continued...

  5. Great stuff! Nothing like a dinosaur hunt to create suspense...

  6. C'est amusant, à l'inverse, dans notre campagne on tombait toujours sur les plus gros prédateurs avant quoi que ce soit d'autres ! Chouettes décors.
