ATZ : Haitian Tales (2)

DAY 7
"Large areas are barricaded, cut off, and quarantined as the attacks increase dramatically. Riots break out as people try to enter and exit these areas. Civilians begin leaving the urban areas causing a run on banks forcing closures. This triggers more riots as power outages begin to occur. As local authorities are being overwhelmed the National Guard and military are placed on alert status". (ATZ p. 61)

Afin de se débarasser du danger que représente le gang voisin des diablos les haïtiens décident d'aller faire une descente sur leur territoire.

To get rid of the danger posed by the diablos gang the Haitians decide to go for a raid on their territory.

Cela commence mal car Mama Pumkin se rend compte qu'elle s'est trompée de munitions pour l'un de ses pistolets (RANDOM OCCURRENCE TABLE, ATZ p. 52). Elle a dû tester ce que fume Smokey...

It starts badly because Mama Pumpkin realizes she has wrong ammunition for one of her pistols (RANDOM OCCURRENCE TABLE ATZ p. 52). She probably testes what Smokey smokes ...

Le gang se sépare en deux groupes, chacun d'un côté de la rue. Le 1er groupe est composé d'Aimé, David Eppes, Amber Beckett et Mama Pumkin. Le second de Roger, Redneck et Smokey.

The gang split into two groups, one on each side of the street. The first group consists of Aimé, David Eppes, Amber Beckett and Mama Pumpkin. The second of Roger, Redneck and Smokey.



Le groupe de Roger rentre dans le premier bâtiment (building A) et tombe sur un civil. Ce dernier est intimidé par le groupe et propose de donner tout ce qu'il possède si on le laisse en vie (SHAKE DOWN TEST, Haven p. 41). Roger essaye de le recruter dans le groupe mais la négociation tourne mal et le civil sort un BAP (MEET & GREET TABLE, ATZ p. 45). Roger est plus rapide et l'abat.
Les tirs attirent un premier Zed qui trainait dans le parc à coté. Le son n'a heureusement pas averti les diablos.
Le groupe de Roger fouille le bâtiment A et trouve un BAP et 2 rations de nourriture.

Roger's group enters the first building (building A) and fell on a civilian. He is intimidated by the group and is ready to give everything he has if left alive (SHAKE DOWN TEST Haven p. 41). Roger tries to recruit him in the group but the negotiation goes badly (MEET & GREET TABLE ATZ p. 45)... Roger is faster than the civilian and shoots him.
The shooting attracted a first Zed who hang out in the park next door. The sound has fortunately not warned the diablos.
Roger's group searches building A and found a BAP and 2 food units.

L'autre groupe n'a pas le temps d'entrer dans le bâtiment de droite (building B) que celui-ci prend feu (RANDOM OCCURRENCE TABLE, ATZ p. 52).On soupçonne David Eppes d'avoir jeté un mégot de cigarette vers un bidon d'essence trainant là.

The other group did not have time to enter the building to the right (building B) that it catches fire (RANDOM OCCURRENCE TABLE ATZ p. 52). David Eppes is suspected of throwing a cigarette into a can of gasoline.

L'incident déclenche l'arrivée de 9 Zeds !

The incident triggers the arrival of 9 Zeds!

Le groupe de Roger sort du bâtiment A (sauf Smokey qui est tombé sur un comics et commence à le feuilleter ; il ne ressortira du bâtiment qu'à la fin de la partie - n'oublions pas sa caractéristique Dumbass).

Roger's group goes out building A (except Smokey who fell on a comic book and started flipping through ; he'll come out of the building at the end of the game ! Don't forget he's dumbass).

Les 2 groupes tentent de se rejoindre mais les zombies arrivent de plusieurs endroit. Redneck abat les 3 premiers zombies d'un coup de shotgun mais alerte par la même occasion les diablos.

The two groups are trying to connect but the zombies come from several places. Redneck shoots 3 zombies with a shotgun shot but at the same time warning the diablos.

David Eppes est chargé par 2 zombies et est mis hors de combat. Amber est attaquée par 3 zombies et est aussi mise hors de combat.

David Eppes is attacked by 2 zombies and is knocked out. Amber is attacked by three zombies and also knockout.

Le groupe décide de se réplier par la rue latérale de gauche (entre le building A et le C).

The group decided to withdraw from the side street on the left (between Building A and C).

Mama Pumkin ramasse David Eppes inanimé et Roger porte Amber. Les zombies sont de plus en plus nombreux.

Mama Pumpkin picks up inanimate David Eppes and Roger catches Amber. The zombies are becoming more numerous.

Deux diablos sortent du bâtiment C (un Rep 4 et un jeune ganger de Rep 2) dans le champs de vision d'Aimé qui fait feu. Il abat le jeune diablo (un garçon d'à peine 14 ans) dans le dos et rate l'autre diablo qui en profite pour rentrer à l'intérieur du bâtiment (Duck Back).

Two diablos surge out of Building C (a Rep 4 and a young Rep 2 ganger) in the field of vision of Aimé, who fired. He shoots the young diablo (a boy of barely 14 years) in the back and missed the other who ducks back inside the building.

Les zombies se précipitent sur le jeune diablo au sol (Zombies festing).

The Zeds feast on the young diablo bleeding on the ground.

Quatre autres diablos sortent de l'immeuble d'en face (building D) : 2 Rep 4 et 2 Rep 3. L'un s'avance et tire sur Aimé qui est touché et mis hors de combat.

Four other Diablos go out of the building across the street (building D): 2 Rep 3 Rep 4 and 2. One steps forward and shots at Aimé who is hit and knocked out.



Deux diablos apparaissent aux fenètres de l'immeuble C. Roger a le réflexe de faire feu sur l'un d'eux mais le rate. Ils font feu à leur tour et le touche légèrement : il est simplement inconscient. Redneck et touché lui aussi et mis hors de combat. Roger se relève et soigne Aimé avec le Medikit. Le groupe se repli pour se mettre à couvert.

Two diablos appear at the windows of the building C. Roger has the reflex to shoot one of them but misses. They return fire and wound him lightly: he is simply unconscious. Redneck is shot and knocked out. Roger gets up and takes care of the Aimé with the Medikit. The group goes back to take cover.



Les diablos sont assaillis de toutes parts par les zombies. Dans l'immeuble (C) les diablos sont obligés de se barricader.

The zombies are everywhere. In the building (C) the diablos are forced to barricade themselves.



De nombreux zombies sont éliminés par les diablos mais le nombre l'emporte. Seul un jeune diablo (Rep 2) en pull rose reste avec son fusil à pompe et élimin 6 zombies (dont 4 au corps à corps) avant de partir se réfugier dans l'immeuble D.

Many zombies are eliminated by diablos but the number wins. Only a young diablo (Rep 2) in pink sweater stays with his shotgun and killes six zombies (including 4 in melee!) before leaving to take refuge in the building D.

Les autres diablos barricadés doivent fuir par la fenêtre de C. Ils sont rattrappés par les zeds. L'un des diablos parvient à fuir, l'autre se fait dévorer.
Le dernier, le chef (Diablo), profite du zombie festing pour s'éloigner à son tour.

Other diablos barricaded must escape through the window of building C. They are caught up by the Zeds. One of diablos manages to escape, the other is devoured.
The last, the Chief (Diablo), run away during the zombies festing.

Tous les zombies étant occupés avec les diablos, les haitiens en profitent pour récupérer du matériel.

All the zombies being busy with diablos, the Haitians took the opportunity to recover the equipment.

Roger va récupérer une machine gun sur les restes déchiquetés d'un cadavre de diablo.
Aimé va fouiller leur QG (building C) et trouve : un médikit, 1 ration de nourriture et des clés de voiture. La voiture est en fait celle garée sur le parking plus loin (une Camarro).

Roger grabs a machine gun on the remains of a mangled corpse of diablo.
Aimé searches their HQ (Building C) and found: 1 Medikit, 1 ration of food and car keys. The car is actually the one parked in the parking lot below (a Camarro).

Tout le groupe arrive à la voiture et quitte les lieux.

The whole group comes to the car and leaves.



Crystal rejoint le groupe plus tard. Elle était en mission de reconnaissance ailleurs pour trouver de la nourriture.

Crystal joined the group later. She was on a reconnaissance mission elsewhere to find food.

Le gang des Diablos est décimé (5 morts sur 9) grâce aux zombies plutôt qu'au gang des haïtiens.

The Diablos gang is decimated (5 deaths out of 9) thanks to the zombies rather than the haitian gang.

Après la mission :
Amber et David ayant été blessé par des zombies, il est nécessaire de vérifier s'ils n'ont pas été infectés. Amber est OK. David est infecté et donc condamné. Les haïtiens décident de mettre fin à ses souffrances et de récupérer son fusil à pompe.

After the mission:
Amber and David was wounded by zombies, it is necessary to ascertain whether they have been infected. Amber is OK. David is infected and therefore doomed. The Haitians decide to end their suffering and take his shotgun.

Du groupe seul Roger et Smokey peuvent essayer de progresser car ils ont éliminé au moins un adversaire, trouvé quelque chose et n'ont pas été mis hors de combat. Aucun de progresse.

Only Roger and Smokey can try to progress because they have eliminated at least one opponent, found something and have not been knocked out. None of them progress.

Un discours de Roger brandissant la nouvelle mitrallette du groupe fait en sorte que tout le monde décide de rester (KEEPING IT TOGETHER, ATZ p. 60). Seuls Redneck et Crystal se réservent le droit de changer d'avis après la prochaine mission.

Everyone decides to stay with the group (KEEPING IT TOGETHER, ATZ p. 60). Only Redneck and Crystal reserve the right to change their mind after the next mission.
